These terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Rules”) are applicable to all the Participant(s) (defined hereunder) sending audio-visual recording via WhatsApp to the number “+919790944440” (hereinafter referred to as “AV(s)”) for the contest titled “BRITTANIA MILK BIKIS THIRUKKURAL CHALLENGE - IDHU SIRIYA KURALGALIN PERIYA GNYANA THEDAL” (“hereinafter referred to as the “Contest”) promoted/organized by Sun TV Network Limited (hereinafter referred to as “STNL”) on its channel “CHUTTI  TV” (“Channel”) in Tamil language. These Rules may be amended from time to time at the sole discretion of STNL.

  1. Registration Period: The Registration Period for Contest shall commence at 6:00 A.M. on 07.07.2026 (Tuesday) and conclude at 11:59 P.M. on 09.07.2026 (Thrusday).
  2. This Contest is open only to children aged between 8 (eight) years and 12 (twelve) years, who are residents of Tamil Nadu and viewers of the Channel. Participation in the Contest shall be only through the Participant's parent or legal guardian and shall be deemed to have been made with the prior consent and under the guidance of such parent or legal guardian. The child participant and his/her parent or legal guardian shall hereinafter collectively be referred to as the (“Participant(s)”) and shall be bound by these Rules.
  3. The announcement promotion shall be aired from 6:00 P.M. on 04.07.2026 (Saturday) until 11:59 P.M. on 06.07.2026 (Monday). The announcement promo shall set out the preliminary guidelines for registration and the shortlisting process for selecting participants for the Contest.
  4. During the Registration Period, the Anchor shall announce the registration round titled "Kuralai Mudinga, Savaalukku Ready Aagunga". As part of the said round, the first 4 (four) words of 2 (two) Thirukkurals shall be displayed on the Britannia Milk Bikis biscuits, with the remaining words left blank. Eligible Participant(s) shall identify and orally complete the missing words of both the Thirukkurals from memory and submit their AV(s)/entries in the manner prescribed below by STNL.
  5. The parent/legal guardian of the child Participant shall record AV(s) of the Participant(s) orally completing the missing words of the displayed Thirukkurals and submit the same to the Channel via WhatsApp in the format specified below.
  6. The AV(s) shall adhere to the following requirements (“Format”) and the AV(s) failing to adhere to the below said requirements shall be rejected per se:
    1. The AV(s) shall contain the Participant(s) orally completing the missing words of both the displayed Thirukkurals from memory. The Participant(s) shall also provide the Participant's name, age, address and city at the time of submission.
    2. The AV(s) shall be recorded in the Tamil language and shall not exceed 30 (thirty) seconds in duration.
    3. The AV(s) shall not contain any obscene material, depiction of film personality, political leaders or ideologies, crime activities and shall not discriminate any religion, cast, creed and race;
    4. The AV(s) shall be in either landscape or portrait; the quality of the AV(s) shall be clear and not blurred along with good audio quality. The AV(s) shall not contain any musical tones/BGM/audio tracks from any movies/songs/albums;
    5. Participant(s) in the AV(s) should be decently/properly/neatly dressed and shall not replicating any political/criminal personnel/ any cloth representing the brands or cartoon character (s);
    6. The AV(s) shall not contain the brands, logo, marks, advertisements, promos of any programme, any picture/clippings/videos from any movies, or any form of intellectual property which belongs to and/or represents any other entity including but not limited to STNL which may be visible on the screen;
    7. The AV(s) shall contain a clean and clear narration of the Thirukkurals by the Participant(s) and the AV(s) with special effects, filters or any feature to enhance the AV(s) are completely restricted and rejected and shall not include any special effects, filters or background music;
    8. The AV(s) shall be shot by or with the assistance of parents of the Participant(s) and shall not be out of selfie feature and such AV(s) shall be rejected;
  7. The Participant(s) of all operators shall send AV(s), in the Format during the Registration Period.
  8. The Participant(s) sending the AV(s) in the Format within the time stipulated above shall be considered as a valid entry and such AV(s) only eligible for shortlisting.
  9. Only one AV(s) per phone number shall be considered as a valid entry during the Contest Period. Each Participant(s) is permitted to submit only one AV(s) and if any additional AV(s) submitted by the same Participant or from the same phone number shall not be eligible for consideration.
  10.  Registration and Shortlisting Process:
    1. The registration promotion shall be aired from 07.07.2026 (Tuesday) and conclude at 11:59 P.M. on 09.07.2026 (Thrusday). On each day of the Registration Period, the Channel shall feature 2 (two) different Thirukkurals, and eligible Participants shall submit their AV(s) in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
    2. The AV(s) submitted by the Participant(s) shall be evaluated and shortlisted by Chutti TV's Programming Team based on, inter alia, the correct completion of both the displayed Thirukkurals, pronunciation and clarity, confidence and presentation skills, and overall screen presence.
    3. Selection, identity verification and mobile number verification of the Participant(s) may be carried out by Chutti TV's Programming Team on a random basis through telephonic calls. STNL reserves the right to reject or disqualify any Participant(s) who fails to successfully complete such verification.
    4. STNL shall shortlist 4 (four) Participant(s) from the eligible AV(s) received on each day of the Registration Period, resulting in a total of 12 (twelve) shortlisted Participant(s).
    5. The shortlisted Participant(s) shall be selected by STNL's Programming Team based on the selection criteria set out herein, and such shortlisted Participant(s) shall be invited to participate in the Contest.
    6. The decision of STNL with respect to the evaluation, shortlisting and selection of Participant(s) shall be final, conclusive and binding, and no correspondence or claims in relation thereto shall be entertained.
    7. In the event, any shortlisted Participant(s) is unavailable, unwilling or otherwise unable to participate in the Contest, STNL shall have the right to select an alternate Participant(s) from the remaining eligible AV(s), at its sole and absolute discretion.
  11. The 12 (twelve) shortlisted Participant(s) shall be invited to participate in the Contest. The shortlisted Participant(s) shall be divided into 2 (two) groups of 6 (six) Participants each, with each group competing in 2 (two) separate episodes comprising 3 (three) rounds based on Thirukkurals. The 3 (three) highest-scoring Participants from each episode aggregating to a total of 6 (six) Participant(s) shall qualify for the grand finale (“Grand Finale”). The Grand Finale shall feature the 6 (six) finalists competing in 3 (three) rounds, and the finalist securing the highest score shall be declared as the winner (“Winner(s)”). The Participant(s) securing the second and third highest scores shall be declared the first runner-up and second runner-up, respectively and the remaining 3 (three) finalists shall each receive participation certificates. The format of the show, episode, the rounds, scoring methodology, judging criteria, and the selection of finalists and Winners shall be determined solely by STNL, whose decision shall be final and binding.
  12. The Contest, comprising 2 (two) preliminary episodes and the Grand Finale, shall be recorded at the Chutti TV Studio, MRC Nagar, Chennai. Each episode shall feature 6 (six) Participants, together with the show anchor and the judge(s). STNL reserves the right to change the recording schedule, venue, format, judges, anchor or any other production-related aspect of the show at its sole discretion.
  13. Rewards: The rewards for the Winner(s), first runner-up, second runner-up and 3 (three) other Participant(s) in each of episode 1, episode 2 and Grand Finale of the Contest shall be provided by Britannia.
  14. The rewards under the Contest, are sponsored by Britannia. STNL shall not be liable or responsible for the quality, quantity, merchantability, fitness, warranty, defects, manufacture, packaging or any deficiency, damage or dispute arising out of or in connection with such rewards/prizes. Any queries, complaints or claims relating to the sponsored rewards shall be addressed to the respective sponsor/manufacturer, and STNL shall have no liability in relation thereto.
  15. STNL reserves the right to substitute, modify or alter any reward with another reward of equivalent value, or withdraw any reward, at its sole discretion, without prior notice. The rewards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and shall not be redeemable for cash or any other consideration.
  16. By participating in the Contest, the Participant(s) consent to the use of the Participant(s)’ name, image, voice, likeness, and performance by the STNL and its production team for promotional, publicity, broadcast, digital, and related purposes, throughout the world and in perpetuity. The Participant(s) acknowledge and agree that no compensation, consideration, royalty, reimbursement, fee, or any other payment of whatsoever nature shall be payable by STNL, in connection with such use.
  17. In case of any dispute in respect of the selection of AV(s), the decision of STNL shall be final and binding on all concerned parties.
  18. STNL at its sole discretion may upload the list of Participant(s)/Winner(s) in their official Facebook, Instagram and any other social media profiles/handles of the Channel/STNL.
  19. In the event of non-selection, Channel/STNL shall not be liable to prove the efforts that were made in this regard.
  20. The Channel/STNL shall not be held responsible for any delay in shortlisting of AV(s) due to occurrence, reasons, cause or any circumstances that may arise beyond its control.
  21. The Channel/STNL may request the Participant(s) to produce any identification document(s), from the Participant(s), as it may deem fit.
  22. In the event of any failure on the part of the Participant(s) to comply with directions issued by STNL herein, STNL shall be entitled to cancel the entries of the said Participant(s).
  23. All the costs and expenses incur in the course of preparation and submission of AV(s) by Participant(s) shall be borne solely by the Participant(s) and STNL shall not entertain any request or claim, whatsoever in this regard.
  24. The Participant(s) shall not be entitled to claim any additional prize, reward, or monetary benefit from STNL in relation to the Contest.
  25. Employees of STNL and its affiliates/subsidiaries, sponsors (if any), associated agencies, participating operators and their immediate family members and relatives are not eligible to participate in this Contest.
  26. STNL shall not be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by the Participant(s) either while participating in the Contest or before or after the telecast of the selected AV(s).
  27. Failure by STNL to enforce any of these Rules in any instance(s) shall not give rise to any claim by any person.
  28. The Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes, differences or any other matters in relation to and arising out of the Contest and/or pertaining to the Rules shall be referred to Arbitration under the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitral tribunal shall consist of a sole arbitrator to be appointed by High Court of Madras. The venue of arbitration shall be at Chennai, and the Arbitration proceedings shall be in English.
  29. Any interim reliefs sought under Arbitration shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts of Chennai only.
  30. STNL, in its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right at any time, without giving any prior notice to the Participant(s), to extend, cancel, discontinue, prematurely withdraw the Contest and add, alter, modify, change or vary all or any of these Rules, wholly or in part thereof including the eligibility criteria, as may be required in view of business exigencies and/or changes by regulatory authority and/or statutory changes and the same shall be binding on the Participant(s).
  31. Any attempt by a Participant(s) to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest and/or website or other operations of STNL is a violation of applicable laws and should such an attempt be made, STNL reserves the right to seek damages from any such Participant(s) to the fullest extent as permitted by law in addition to its other rights/reliefs under the applicable laws.
  32. All entries will be treated as the sole property of STNL and can be used by STNL for any promotional and/or commercial activity and the Participant(s) shall waive all rights of whatsoever nature in the said entries in favour of STNL by participating in the Contest.
  33. The provisions of Section 19(4) of the Copyright Act, 1957 shall not apply to any rights of STNL under these Terms and Conditions.
  34. Participant(s) expressly waive any moral rights or right to attribution with respect to their entry(ies) and agree not to assert any claim against STNL in this regard.
  35. STNL at its sole discretion may also waive production of any of the aforesaid documents.
  36. Participant(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless STNL, its affiliates, employees, vendors and partners from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities or expenses arising out of their participation in the Contest or breach of these Rules.
  37. By participating, Participant(s) consent to STNL collecting, storing, and processing their personal data solely for the purposes of administering this Contest. STNL shall not be liable for any unauthorized access or breach of personal data by third parties.
  38. STNL, its vendor and/or its subsidiaries shall not be liable to any person or entity for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, including loss or profits, incurred by any Participant(s), or any third party, whether in connection with this Contest or for breach of any warranty or in tort.
  39. STNL, its vendors and its subsidiaries shall not be responsible for any claim/s arising out of any technical failures either before, during, or after the completion of the Contest including but not limited to any technical failures in the telephone lines, failure of servers or the failure to provide the correct contest updates or any mistakes arising out of technical snags. Further, STNL shall not be responsible for any claims arising out of any failure(s) which are beyond the control of STNL or its vendors.
  40.  This Contest is subject to force majeure circumstances i.e., an act of God or any circumstance beyond the control of STNL.
  41. The Contest is valid, subject to the Participant(s) and complying with all terms, conditions and/or formalities as required by STNL. Any failure on the part of the Participant(s) to comply with any specified term, condition and/or formality shall render the Participant(s) liable for disqualification at the sole discretion of STNL.
  42. This Contest is subject to guidelines/directions issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India or any other relevant statutory authority(ies) from time to time.
  43. Participation in the Contest implies acceptance of all the terms and conditions associated with the Contest.
